The illustrations by Joe Mugnaini are full page horstexte litho-graphs and, for the chapter openings, pen and ink drawings. The lithographs were pulled from the stone in the studio of George C. Miller of New York. The book has been designed by Robert L. Dothard, and it has been printed by Case, Lockwood and Brainard of Hartford, Connecticut. The size of the page is 8 5/8" x 11" and there are 330 pages. The type, for the text, is eleven-point Caledonia on a thirteen-pointbase; the chapter numbers are twelve-point Bauer Bodoni, and the chapter titles are twenty-four-point Bauer Bodoni italic. The paper is Strathmore natural white made specially for this edition. The binding is genuine white vellum back and corners, with decorated sides, and the title is superimposed on a gold panel set into the backstrip.
