In 1979 The Card Memorabilia Associates produced an outstanding commemorative set honoring the players of the 1950's. Styled in the so-called "pure card" format the cards feature a full-color photograph without further design or identification on the front. The backs feature a brief biography, lifetime statistics and vital statistics in the style of the 1953 Bowman baseball series. Each card measures the modern standard of 2-1/2" by 3-1/2". For any collector who fondly remembers baseball in the Fifties, this team set is a must! Condition: Excellent to Near-Mint or better All cards are pictured. You will receive all *11 different cards. This is an affordable way to obtain a good representative of your favorite team's players from the '50s. These are important cards to the national pastime's history and are among the finest produced by TCMA. *Note: This team set includes Ralph Kiner who is generally identified with the Pirates (although he is pictured in Cleveland Indians uniform). The back of his card indicates "Pirates" and we were fortunate to acquire several of these cards, so we are including Ralph Kiner's card in both the Pirates and Indians team sets - as long as our supply lasts!
