The built-in screen offers real-time monitoring of the assigned parameters of the Tetrapad. There are three main modes that the Tetrapad + Tête pair can operate in. Combo mode allows each of the pads to act as its own function, independent of the other pads. Pads can act as a crossfader, bi-polar fader, LFO, dual switch, Euclidean rhythm source, or a finger drumming surface. In note mode, the pads of Tetrapad can be divided into four, eight, 12, or 16 zones, which act like notes on a keyboard. The output can be constrained to scales or chords with user-configurable assignments and the ability to send different notes per channel. Voltage mode also divides the pads into different zones and acts as a voltage storage bank, sending preset voltages through the eight outputs. In addition to these modes, Tête offers enhanced functionality not present on the Tetrapad. Together they can be used as a step-sequencer with up to 256 steps and can act as a real time looper of Tetrapad performances, the length of which is only limited by the size of the microSD card. In addition to these modes, the Loopy performance mode allows for stuttering and granular-level looping of the sequences. Tête can be clocked internally or externally, with divisions and multiplications available from the clock rate. You can additionally control the Tetrapad from external sources with two assignable gate/trigger inputs and three assignable CV inputs that feature attenuverters for fine control. All these settings can be saved in Tête's 99 preset slots which stores mode, CV assignment, and sequence/loop data.
