It sits on the bed of any standard gauge singer, silver reed, studio, knitting machine and will do a loop thru loop cast off. I had never used one of these carriages before and I have a video of me testing this one out on a SK700. At first it takes a little trial and error to know how to hold the knitting but by the end of the video, I was getting the hang of it.
