This is a NON-STANDARD teflon coated stainless steel cable used as spare parts for a light-duty crane system in a chemical-bath industrial setting. 'Baskets' of perhaps 100 pounds were hoisted by a crane using this cable that was manufactured in the early 90s. This cable consists of 7 each 7-strand 302/304 SS wires with a cable diameter of 0.035" An extra-thick coating of FEP (teflon) brings the total assembly diameter to 0.084" or about 25 mils of FEP all around the wire. It is a very flexible stainless cable that was specified to run indefinitely in sheaves of approximately 3" diameter but it easily wraps around 1" diameter (1/2" radius) objects with just a little 'bow away' tendency in the middle of such bends.
