Melinda has written three novels: last years striking A Winters Day in 1939, Jack the Viking (Scholastic, 2008) and The Half Life of Ryan Davis (Pear Jam, 2011). Melinda lives in Auckland. Dominique Ford is an artist and illustrator living in rural Tauranga with her husband Andrew and teenage children. Dominique started out in graphic design before travelling overseas and working in England for four years, producing graphics and promotional material in the music industry. After returning home and having a family, she and her friend Megan Kelliher wrote and illustrated her first picture book, Moonrabbit, together. As well as drawing, Dominique knits, crochets, sews, makes jewellery and collects cats.
