It's not the usual shiny synthetic material you get with puffer vests. It feels more like bedding, and breathable-warm too. The inner lining is soft and has a lower, denser pile than the average "fleece". Size You can see the equivalent sizes on the tag for Germany, Great Britain, France, and Italy. To the best of my knowledge this translates to about an 8/9 in a woman's U.S. size. Measurements across the chest, armpit to armpit 21-1/2" length down the back from neck seam to bottom 25" shoulder to shoulder across the front 16" arm hole diameter 22-1/2"
