Description: Tchaikovsky LP: The Nutcracker (Highlights from the Ballet) - 1966 Monitor Records release performed by Bolshoi Theatre Orchestra conducted by Gennadi Rozhdestvensky The cover looks pretty good. The amount of wear is minimal. There is some minor rub wear mostly visible on the back side. There is some minor edge/corner wear but not much. There is a small circular binder reinforcement label attached at the upper right corner. I needed a way to identify my records short of writing my name on them when I had roommates back in college days 1975 and that was my method. The vinyl looks near mint with a few light surface scuff marks. I played this from start to finish today and I have to tell you it sounds fantastic with very little record surface noise audible. There is something visible in the lead-in groove of side 2 that might make you think there is a big problem (hint: not a big problem). The thing is a series of marks that looks like scrapes on the vinyl and maybe they are, but this mark has no affect on playing the record. It looks a little nasty, but it's not. I included 2 photos to try to show you what I'm talking about. The record is housed in its original die-cut paper sleeve which is in good shape with a little yellowing and a few creases.
