It was slightly wider in the flange area than the original. I had to trim it slightly, but it was going in my 36 Chevy pickup that I was upgrading to EFI and not a Chevelle as it was suppose to fit. I would highly recommend this tank. The fuel sender had to be trimmed quite a bit, and did not fit this shorter tank real well. Yes, I recommend this product.
