Description: SWAROVSKI CRYSTAL 1995 SCS ANNUAL EDITION "INSPIRATION AFRICA" – THE LION Swarovski item number: D01X951 / 185410. Condition: New - This item was bought New in Box from an authorized Swarovski dealer in 1995 and has never been put on display. The Lion has always remained in its protective storage box (except for the purpose of inspection and/or photography). The top and one side of the protective cube container is missing about 1 1/2” and 1” of its outer “skin” respectively from where some scotch tape was carelessly removed. See photo # 9. This is just cosmetic damage to the outside “skin” of the container and has absolutely no impact on the capability of the container to protect the Lion. The Lion is in excellent condition. It has no chips, cracks, scratches, or repairs. Description: When first introduced, this crystal piece could only be purchased by members of the Swarovski Crystal Society (SCS). This piece was designed by Adi Stocker and is the final piece issued in the “Inspiration Africa” Trilogy. This piece shows a resting male Lion. The Lion’s face and mane are made of a combination of cut Clear crystal and multi-faceted Clear crystal. The Lion’s body, front legs and hind legs are made from multi-faceted Clear crystal. The first half of the Lion’s tail is made from cut Clear crystal and the last half of the tail is made from Frosted crystal. The Lion’s eyes are crystals that have a Jet-Black Pupil encircled by Amber colored Iris’s. The Swarovski trademark Swan logo is located on the bottom of the base. The Lion comes in its original cube shaped protective container along with its Certificate of Authenticity. Pictures are of the actual item being offered for sale.
