Description: This is the original 1982 movie poster SWAMP THING. It was used by Embassy to promote this movie when it was released in 1982. It is not a reprint nor a reproduction. The movie stars Louis Jordan, Adrienne Barbeau, Ray Wise, David Hess, Nicholas Worth, Dick Durock, Nannette Brown, and Ben Bates. It was directed by Wes Craven and Walter von Huene. The artwork is by Richard Hescox.This unrestored movie poster is Rolled and measures 40" x 60", and is on medium stock paper. It is larger that the routine size of an original one sheet poster measuring 27" x 41". This original movie poster is graded C8.5, Very Fine to Near Mint. Original movie posters are graded as follows from the top down: C10 (Mint), C9 (Near Mint), C8 (Very Fine), C7 (Fine/Very Fine), C6 (Fine or Very Good), C5 (Good to Very Good), etc. It is difficult to find any pre-1985 original movie posters graded C10 (Mint). This original movie poster is immediately ready for framing and display. The colors are rich and the images are excellent. The only flaw imposing in the image are is at the bottom left corner of some whitish wear small sections (see last photo above). These are unobtrusive to the appearance of the poster. Please excuse the bend at the top left in the photos as I use small weights to hold down rolled posters and at the top left I did not lay down the weight correctly so that the poster laid flat. The point is there is no bend in the poster at the top left. I also tried to avoid flash on this medium to high gloss poster but it did sneak in on a few shots. That is why I included two full length photos of this poster, those being the first two photos. The first one is with more flash, and the second photo is taken with less flash, to give you an idea of different lighting on this poster, while trying to minimize flash bright spots. Bottom line is that this original movie poster of SWAMP THING is strikingly beautiful and will make an eye-catching display in any original movie poster collection. We believe that the original 1982 movie poster SWAMP THING has good investment value. Sci-fi/horror films and their original posters always have their fans and collectors. In addition, the larger size of this original - 40" x 60" as opposed to a One Sheet at 27" x 41", increases it value, as does the excellent condition of this original at C8.5 Very Fine to Near Mint.
