Suzanne Avril (1868-1948) is the actress featured on this vintage real photo portrait postcard. She was a French actress that was heavily active in theater and less active in silent films during the Belle Epoque era. Her theater resume includes plays from 1892 through 1920. She was associated with Rejane's theater for many years. Avril performed on Broadway (The Lyric Theater) in the play "Amoureuse" (1904). Gabreille Rejane was also in the cast. Avril appeared in three silent films between 1909 and 1916. Avril's photograph on this postcard was taken in Paris by esteemed celebrity photographer, Leopold Reutlinger. The card is part of a series (No.865/14). The postcard was published by S. I. P.. This portrait postcard is in very good condition (see scans).
