Description: Offering a vintage VITAVOX 1953 Dynamic Microphone, working great w/deco stand included. Vitavox was founded in 1930 by Leonard Young, an ex-Merchant Navy seaman and radio repair shop owner. Over several decades Vitavox has continued to produce a wide range of naval communications equipment, including a number of microphones. The model is a Vitavox Admiralty Pattern 12936 from around 1953. (This microphone was manufactured under patents licensed from ST&C, and looks very similar to the famous STC 4017C as used by the BBC.) This comms mic is quite heavy due to the massive iron magnet used on the original dynamic element, responding with excellent tone and hot output. The casing is in excellent shape with exception of mild wear in the front, (no dings or dents) and is threaded to a vintage (and equally heavy) desk stand, wired with a 4 foot cable to a standard male XLR plug and attached to the mic via 2 thumb terminals in the back of the mic head. (We can swap the XLR plug for a 1/4" male phono plug at no charge.) NOTE: If you don't need the stand, we can credit you back for that. ** Audio sample available upon request. Always safe secure packaging and fast fair shipping. **** WE BUY OLD MICROPHONES...INVENTORY REGULARLY UPDATED **** Click on my eBay username for details. (Text or call.) With a life-long career in major market broadcast radio in the imaging/audio production field, I continue to buy, sell, collect and restore vintage microphones, primarily from the 1930's through the 1970's.
