Description: These are a gorgeous variation of the Yellow Tiger Endler's. The pictures do not do them justice. This line runs with the males carrying two colors, Orange and Yellow and both colors have a beautiful Lavender highlight reflective sheen on their bodies. You will receive 3 sexed pairs PLUS 1 sexed Free Pair (Two pair with yellow males and two pair with Orange males). These beautiful fish will continue to develop more fin-age and color as they age. These are very hardy and breed true to the two colors. These have been developed and bred by Purple Aquatics from our own stock of Endler's. Life span averages from 1 - 4 years if kept in a well maintained tank that doesn't have uncontrolled Nitrite, Nitrates, and Ammonia levels. Fed a Diet of Variety Flake foods and variety pellets. These fish are not picky eaters but do need a good diet for optimal health. A small piece of guppy grass is included in the bag with the fish (CA residents excluded). Plant this in your tank and watch it grow! These fish love it. They do best if kept in tanks with clean water and live plants to give them hiding places and give the fry a better chance at survival. Unlike guppies its rare for them to eat their own young. Some of them are determinedly suicidal jumpers, so a cover on the tank is a must. Endler?s are most often found in more stagnant waters, compared to other guppies who prefer faster waters. Endlers were named after John Endler, a Canadian biologist who re-discovered these fish in 1975 which at that time were considered to be extinct. Endler livebearers are very hardy and undemanding in the aquarium. They prefer hard, warm water, but they will do very well in soft water as well. The warmer the water, the faster they will grow: 27 °C (75-81 °F). This is slightly higher than their guppy cousins, which prefer 23?25 °C (73-77 °F).
