It is a little bit easier to sharpen than the HAP-40 or ZDP189 steels. At that level they offer a good value for money.Sukenari is a small maker from Toyama. Their work is extremely tidy and you can see the skills on any of their products. The blades are made out of stainless powder metal SG2 Steel . It is a very hard steel but still reasonable flexible.
