The quartz crystal is coated in a secondary growth layer of vibrant blue botryoidal chrysocolla, and fuzzy shattuckite The mine didnt produce many pieces with the shattuckite association, making this piece especially rare A sparkling/fuzzy shattuckite layer has puddled on the crystal and shimmers like diamonds in the sun. Be sure and check the video to see what I mean. Some areas of the crystal remain uncovered giving a view thought the crystal to the inside of the outer growth. Reds from the iron, as well as blacks and blues can be seen dotted throughout. Such a cool feature about this piece that adds an amazing contrast of color.
