With its modularity, you decide how long or short you want your blast shield to be.The Strike Pistol Linear Comp does exactly what it's designed to do. However, depending on the pistol platform the recoil guide rod spring may need to be tuned. This is due to the increased weight at the end of the barrel, which may cause a shift in the lock-up timing. Therefore, some trial and error may be needed.During our testing, a G17/19 functioned well with an OEM recoil spring assembly when running the full length configuration of our Pistol Linear Comp. In order to run the full length while using all provided bodies, the guide rod may have to tuned with a different spring weight. Other pistol brands and their platforms' performance may also vary.
