Falcon And The Winter Soldier’: Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine The Power Broker? There was buzz heading into the penultimate season 1 episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier that a new character we haven’t been introduced to before in the MCU would emerge, and surface she did. Eleven-Primetime Emmy winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus made her Marvel debut as the enigmatic Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, appearing to the recently cancelled Captain America John Walker as potentially a saving grace to resurrecting his fallen superhero career. “You can just call me Val, but don’t call me Val, just keep it in your head,” she instructed Walker in Episode 5. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Black Widow Reveals Another Hidden Detail About Valentina Allegra De Fontaine AKA VAL The post-credits scene of Marvel Studios' Black Widow saw the highly-anticipated return of Julia Louis-Dryfus' Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. The mysterious authoritative figure approached Florence Pugh's Yelena Belova with a new target: Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye. Fontaine made her MCU debut just three months ago in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier's fifth episode. There, she attempted to recruit Wyatt Russell's John Walker, who had just been stripped of his Captain America title after bludgeoning a member of the Flag Smashers. In the season finale, Fontaine's recruitment efforts proved to be successful. Walker emerges in a red, white, and black variation of his Captain America suit, fresh with the rebranded title of US Agent. Based on Walker's villainous actions throughout the series, many have penciled his recruiter in as an antagonist herself. Couple that with her interaction with Belova in Black Widow, and Fontaine's status as a bad guy seems all but confirmed. That said, a new detail from Black Widow's post-credits scene points to Fontaine being a force for good. Shipped with USPS First Class Package.
