Description: The Strand Magazine: an illustrated monthly, 1891. 662p., VOLUME 1, January to June (1891). Collectible first volume includes stories by Pushkin translated from Russian and The Voice of Science by A. Conan Doyle. Aqua-blue boards have beveled edges, and the illustrated front board. Previous owner's bold ink signature on front pastedown, and a previous owner's stamp on the front end paper has been crossed-out with same ink. Hardcover book is in overall good condition without a DJ. Binding remains solid without any cracking of the hinges or loose pages. Book is graded good primarily because the spine is browned and heavily worn at the top and bottom, and there is medium wear at the corners of the boards and around the edges, and along the surfaces.
