Description: Straco 5” Wooden Smoker/Incense Burner. Handcrafted in the German Erzgebirge. Räuchermännchen, literally little smoking men, are an age old German Christmas tradition. They are two pieces that fit together to make one unified figure. The base of the smoker is where an incense cone (not included) can be placed and the upper part of smoker fits over the cone. A small hole is drilled into the bottom of the base which forces the smoke from the incense cone to travel out of the smokers mouth. All smokers will have a pipe in their mouth. Our charming example portraits an old timey chimney sweep with his top hat, ladder and bush. Unfortunately he has lost his pipe, but that does not make him less functional or collectible.
