HE WAS FURIOUS AND WAS HITTING A WALL WHEN TRYING TO PURSUE ACTION AGAINST WHOEVER STOLE THE IMAGE. I LOST TOUCH PRIOR TO HIS FALLING ILL AND WAS NEVER ABLE TO FIND OUT HIS PROGRESS IN GETTING TO THE BOTTOM OF IT. BOTTOM LINE - KNOW WHO YOU ARE PURCHASING FROM. I RECEIVED MY PRINT FROM BILLY PERSONALLY. William, or Billy, as many knew him, took this photo that was used in MANY famous and well-known publications. After speaking with him I was told that it was just one of those shots that every photographer dreams of getting! A sweetheart of a man who invited me out to see the Allman Brothers on a couple occasions. Sadly, Billy passes away last year… a genuine spirit who had a beautiful eye for 'the shot' and lover of Rock & Roll, Billy was really a truly gifted Rock ' Roll fan who managed to document many one-of-a-kind images. This particular picture he snapped really defines the man all true Rock & Roll fans have grown to not only love, but most deservedly have accepted as the one and only true rock & roll guitarists of our time! Stevie Ray Vaughan did not just PLAY the music... He bled the chords!!! To say this print is rare is a huge understatement! The hand signed lithographs that were signed by Billy were printed on a very heavy paper stock and VERY LARGE prints as lithographs go. All of the hand signed and numbered prints were sold by Mr. Williams many years ago and sold out in quite a short period of time. It was framed to specifications only a museum would demand with the use of acid free materials and UV Protective Glass and I am going to start the bidding off at the most recent auction sale price! The framing on this is absolutely incredible and the pictures do it no justice.... you will not be anything short if impressed when you see the attention to detail and extra effort that went into the framing of this! The limited-edition lithograph was signed by W. A. "Billy" Williams who took the photo in Columbus, Ohio in 1989 on October of 1989. It is not the cheap fraudulent poster or unsigned lithograph... It is the hand signed lithograph released by W.A. Williams himself! The item has been stored in a climate-controlled storage facility that I have literally outgrown and it's time to sell a few items. I have worked in the entertainment / music business for over 30+ years and the huge collection of items I have amassed from the numerous artists I have worked for over the years, needs to be trimmed down a bit. It's time to find some of my pieces new homes rather than just renting a larger storage unit.
