Here is a short summary of my work: Took apart and cleaned every little piece, including (of course) the lensesPolished the electrical contacts for flicker-free operationPainted the interior white for bright & even illumination (painting the black surfaces white increases the back reflections and overall brightness of the viewer, without any side effects)Installed friction feet at the bottom to minimize wear and increase friction when put on a table (so it doesn't slide and fall of the table - please be careful, the viewer is fragile!)Installed an LED bulb ($18 value, available on my ebay store) - I love this bulb, it's the best! Note the stickers that show the correct orientation of the batteries (this is the reverse of what is originally marked inside the viewer, and you must follow this one for the light to come on). I also include two extra standard bulbs.Adjusted the tension for interocular and focusingPut together with extra care and a bit of lubrication only in key partsInspected and approved as worthy of being called one of the best "DrT" viewersIf you think that the price is too high, consider this: 1) Price of service = $50. 2) LED bulb = $18.
