Description: New Set of 6, Steel Hinge sets 4 x 4.25. I have these in bulk and they will be shipped as pieces. One purchase gets you everything shown in 1 picture. 6 complete hinges with pins.These are magnetic and coated with a clear finish. I had a few questions and some of my own curiosity to see how well these would hold up soaking in saltwater for a few weeks. The last picture shows the result of complete immersion in a mix of regular road salt, table salt, and tap water. Where they are coated, pretty much nothing happened, where I ground the coating away resulted in the brown rust. I was able to wipe this away and the metal underneath is just a bit discolored. The pin has about the same result. Don't worry if you order these, I will not be shipping the tested part out. I wanted to see how well they would do if used for exterior doors or for other purposes that would expose them to a more extreme environment, like an RV or trailer used up north. How many other sellers would do this and show you? Please do not order if you are unsure that its the proper part.
