Description: This was the only way we could get internet access even though we live just a mile out of town. Cable stops one house closer into town, $3K to get it extended. The local fiber folks wanted $5K to bring a cable out. I asked if other people along the line wanted to tap in could I get a refund, no. We tried two different cellular options, neither would keep the 5G signal. Neither of the units would accept an external antenna so I couldn't do my HAM Yaga magic. Too many (1?) between us and the 5G tower. The 4G tower could not be seen and yet it alway reset to that tower regardless of what the engineers did, ARRRGGGHHHH! Tried several other hacks with phones, they didn't work. So we got in line and purchased the Gen 2 kit. It was staked into the ground and worked like a champ. The snow melting function works great, provide it can stay above the snow (two shoveling). I'm including a 5 port ethernet hub so if you have a TV, you can hard wire it day one (improves the robustness). A couple of months ago a new fiber provider came through town and they got us hooked up. So I've said good by and thank you to StarLink and now it needs to find a good home. As there will be two packages (to save money, one the Big Kit, the other smaller kits in the second) I've got the shipping price set to the highest it will be. I will refund you any overage from the actual costs of both packages together. There will be one large package and one small. If I make a mistake and the shipping is more, I will not ask for more.
