Description: This is an unused store display from 2000 after the release of the Phantom Menace. The original Star Wars Trilogy was being re-released on VHS alongside the first release of the Phantom Menace, so stores were advertising with these “Continue the Adventure on Video” banners, but this one was never used and has been in storage for the last 24 years. I was given this by one of our sales reps back when I worked for a large retail company because she knew I was a big Star Wars fan. She had brought in two for display, but the store decided they only wanted one up in the electronics department, so got the unused one. So, I am the only “owner” of this banner and I can attest to the fact that it has never been displayed… Just stored away for all these many years. This is a high quality vinyl banner. It measures 80” wide x 36” high and has two medal grommets (one on the top right and one on the top left) that can be used to properly hang the banner. Also included in this auction are the original wooden dowel rods and the plastic cylinder used to connect them… When put together, these rods slide into a loop that runs the full width of the banner at the bottom. This is the help keep the banner from flapping up at the bottom so that it will display properly. The folds are how it arrived to the store back in 2000. The banner is two-sided, with the exact same picture on both sides. There are some scuffs from storage, but these seem to only be on the outside (when folded), while the side that was inside the fold was protected and seems to be in perfect condition. I’ve posted images of the scuffs, but these are only on one side of the banner, not the other side as far as I can tell. The first few images of the full banner are showing the cleaner side, so you can zoom in and check for any imperfections that I may have missed. All-in-all, this would make a nice display piece for a Star Wars room / wall. I had intended on displaying it myself, but that never happened and now I just don’t have a room that I can dedicate to it, so I’m giving it up to someone who can hopefully find a better use for it that just keeping it in storage forever.
