Northwest Airlines was a major United States airline that was founded in 1926. Northwest's home base was the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport. Northwest was merged with Delta Airlines and continued to operate under its own name and brand until the integration of the carriers was completed on January 31, 2010.
