Description: Up for sale is a Very Good overall condition, seldom-seen Thumb Safety in Starvel Finish for the .45 ACP Model Firestar M45 pistols. This part originated from a well cared-for Star Firestar M45 semiautomatic pistol chambered in .45 ACP. PLEASE NOTE: This listing is for the Thumb Safety WING - which is the Safety Lever on the RIGHT side of a Firestar M45 Pistol. Unlike the "Thumb Safety" which has a long, angled shaft (Axis) that actually travels thru the frame, the Thumb Safety WING (Only) attaches to the Axis/Shaft of the Thumb Safety which is the lever that's exposed on the Left side of the Pistol. Again, the Thumb Safety Wing is your Right side lever, and the Thumb Safety is the Left side lever. DO NOT confuse this part with the Thumb Safety (see LAST image in the photoset). So to confirm, the listed item is for the Safety Lever on the RIGHT side of the pistol !! Condition is favorable overall: There are some light handling marks and a couple small nicks in the checkered surface from general use and operation, but is in nice shape overall - especially considering its age of 30+ years!
