Date: c.1955 About the Various Bowls On offer are seven different Stangl glazed bowls of different shapes, sizes and colors which are being sold SEPARATELY. Buy one or more! Most have an upper green side with a greyish underside. There is one rather different bowl from the others which is a shapely, scalloped curvy bowl in lightish blue. There is one other blue bowl, an avocado shaped bowl - the remainder are all slightly different shades of green. The upper side of the bowls are all in excellent vintage condition. The underside of a few of them have some erosion of the glazing - see list below. The Bowls In picture 1 you will see that all the bowls have a white number on them. The numbers below correspond to the numbers portrayed on the bowls in this picture. Next to the numbers given below is information on the bowl shape, pattern number (if I know it), size, color, and condition. The company was originally founded as Samuel Hill Pottery in 1814, until 1860 when it became Fulper Pottery. The name changed to Stangl Pottery in 1955. The company ceased production and closed in 1978, but the dinnerware is still prized by collectors. Pieces can be identified by the Stangl name on the bottom. The original Flemington, New Jersey, location and showroom was bought in May 2011 to make space for a restaurant, a studio, and an art gallery. Condition KeyNEW WITH TAGS (NWT) = unused.
