Description: Shorter & Son Ltd. England Small Character Jug / Mug “Gardener”. This is a character STAFFORDSHIRE Toby mug "Gardener" produced in England by Shorter & Son. This HandPainted jug/ mug features a small bird eating grain from the gardener's hand. The jug / mug is marked in black on the bottom: OLD STAFFS TOBY SHORTER & SON LTD. STAFFORDSHIRE MADE IN ENGLAND Some of the letters did not completely take when this was stamped. See pictures. The jug with this stamp was produced from 1933-1963. The jug measures about 4 3/8" in height, about 2 3/4" in width and about 4 1/4" in overall depth. In very good vintage condition with very minor crazing. There are no chips, cracks, breaks or repairs. **Please see all pictures, they are part of my description. * This comes from a smoke free, pet free home.
