Description: This print is from the 1883 book "Schweiz I Skildringer Og Billeder" (or "Switzerland in Depictions and Pictures") published by Kjobenhavn in 1883. It's titled Piottakloften Ved Faido Paa St. Gotthard, which I've not been able to successfully translate. I do know it's an image of the St. Gotthard Pass. The image was engraved by Closs but I'm not sure on the artist based on the initials in the image. It is dated 1876. The print is blank on the reverse and measures approximately 14 3/4 inches by 11 inches. Good antique condition with no creases. There's an old water stain on the bottom left and top right corners as well as light foxing. Will be shipped in heavy duty Yazoo Mills tube.
