Well its basically a bright Orange Sapphire from the mining district of Padparadsha India. Is essentially played out now but 20 years ago it was producing Sapphire with the most amazing play of red and yellow fire. Alas no more. We do have a source though for a simulated Sapphire with the same awesome color attributes and for a ton less money. A really cool stone. This ring is a nice design; sort of Grecian with a rope braiding on the sides. A really pretty Sterling Silver ring very solid construction. This is one of those rings youll pass down to your daughter.. It is simple enough for everyday wear yet pretty enough to wear out in the evening. ____________________________________________________________________ BTW Since we make this from scratch after you order it we have a lot of flexibility.
