Description: Selling a Spyderco Civilian Serrated Blade C12CFS with custom Santa Fe Stoneworks Pearl Inlay. This Civilian Lockback Folder by Spyderco has a satin finished, fully serrated hawkbill blade with thumb hole. The "A" side of the handle is comprised of black jet overlay with gold lip pearl web, steel frame and a black G-10 scale with stainless steel backspacer/ lock. Spyderco C-12 Civilian was originally designed for specialty law enforcement, but it has without a doubt been a fan favorite and is among the most collectable of all Spyderco models. It is really amazing how many collectors and various other knife afficionados gravitate towards the Civilian. In the early 1980’s Sal Glesser, the owner of Spyderco, personally reached out to Sante Fe Stoneworks to collaborate and make extremely limited production customized designs. In terms of their work with Spyderco, Sante Fe Stoneworks is best known for their SpyderWeb design, which is put on display by this knife. Only 540 right C12CFS Civilians were made in total. I reached out to Bill Wirtel at Santa Fe Stoneworks and he said there were 4 of these made - one of which is in his personal collection. He dubbed it the "Central Park Gentleman’s Knife." This collaboration with the legendary custom knife makers at Sante Fe Stoneworks uses one of Spyderco's most enduring and iconic designs and combines it with a meticulously inlaid pearl web making a true work of art. Chances are you will never see another one of these for sale again. The blade still has a wicked sharp factory edge and leans clip side. This knife has some wear and there are some scratches on it. It was never a daily carry or a work knife by any means though. A small ding on the bottom front of the knife (pictured) is the most noticable blemish. Knife comes as pictured with the original Spyderco zip up padded pouch / carry case. All photos were taken with an iPhone 10, no filters, no editing, but with good lighting. Overall in great condition considering it is > 20 years old, but please analyze the pictures closely and use your best judgment when purchasing. Feel free to reach out with any questions.
