Of course you can use simple bulbs, but the real Sputnik chrome effect is completed by the bulbs with silver mirror ( as you can see in the photos) I strongly recommend that the electrical installation be done by an authorized electrician It is in a great vintage condition for a more than 50 years old chandelier but it has some very small areas with worn chrome in the central part that are not at all noticeable when the chandelier is mounted on the ceiling ( see the last photo).
