Sports Illustrated CGC 7.0 OW/W (Very Early SI 1955 Pre-Dates 1st Swimsuit Ed.)

Description: Up for sale is this beautiful graded copy of the very early (1955… 2nd year of publication) Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Cover CGC 7.0 OW/White Pages, featuring the classic cover, which presents beautifully with no mailing label as this issue was sold at the newsstand. Also note the classic Dodge full-page ad on the back cover for the 1955 Dodge Custom Lancer, a tradition that continued in the early swimsuit editions. Note there are some abrasions on the back corners of the CGC case, and the CGC label has some bends. Also the magazine has a date stamp on the front cover which some collectors feel adds some provenance to this early SI.
