Description: Sports postcard Players plaques Cooperstown New York NY Hall of Fame and Museum, Mike Roberts These postcards were issued and sold at the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown , New York. There is at least one card issued for every Hall of Fame Player, depending on how recently the player was inducted. The earliest cards were produced in 1939, and they are still produced today. However, there have been 7 different publishers of these cards, so that many players can exist with several different versions of the same card, depending on the date when they were inducted, as the cards were re-printed over the years, as they sold out or changed publishers. The back sides of the cards are where the changes can be seen mostly. I have attempted to fully categorize these cards by types, and labeled as such by type numbers and letters. The number represents the publisher, and the letter the sub-type within the publisher. There are even a few smaller varieties as well, but I tried to keep as more solid groups.
