This device is very sensitive and will pick up the smallest change in its field. The first thing to trigger is the audible alarm, if the presence is stronger one or two lights will light up as well. It doesn't detect EMF like the K-ii meter, so putting it near a power source like a plug socket will not trigger it. It's more like the rempod and triggers when anything break the EMF field it generates. This is an essential ghost hunting detector; we suggest 3 or 4 of them for indoor locations. It's handy putting one in each doorway near where you are working, catching anything that enters or leaves the room. The Spiritpod X1 can be used for spirit communication by asking yes or no questions. You can ask a ghost to trigger it if it wants to communicate, if this happened you can ask it to trigger it if it’s a male. The spiritpod runs on a 9v battery which is not included, it can be quickly replaced if needed from the bottom. There is a power switch to turn it on and off on the bottom as well.
