Description: Hand-crafted flatware or utensil caddy adds farmhouse charm to your kitchen or dining table. Four compartments feature carrot, squash, onion, and turnip in “stairstep” wood cutouts on the exterior. Red apple is the finial. Painted wood is predominantly Kelly green and cream-colored. Scalloped edges to the 4 pockets. Spins on center axis. Circa 1940’s or early 1950’s, I believe. Hallmarks: None. Possibly amateur made. Dimensions: 11.5" High. Base diameter 7.5”. Widest diameter 9”. 4 pockets approx. 7.5” tall x 2.75” wide x 3” deep. Condition: Good condition, commiserate with age and use. Mentionable issue: 1) Glaze loss on mid-right side of compartment with green turnip (see photo #10), 2) a number of edge paint losses - one on scalloped left side of "onion" compartment, another on base on which apple finial sits, and around scalloped right rim and left front of turnip compartment.
