Description: Gorgeous 18"x24" oil painting on canvas by Fritz Gurney of a classic 1930's pulp magazine cover. I owned the original of this at one time, having been approached at the Thanksgiving Creation Con in NYC in 1977 by a woman who claimed she was the model and the artist had given her the painting. I bought it for around $80 I think and had it framed and displayed for years until selling it. It has subsequently sold on Heritage and was completely restored and repainted. When I owned it the painting was chipped, faded, etc. Anyway, I always enjoyed the image and had Fritz paint it for me. No more interest on my part in hanging more than three pieces on my walls so here's another one for sale. It is spectacular and is the quintessential hero, villain, damsel in distress pulp cover t heme. Superb brush strokes and color by Fritz. Ready to frame and display. If you are a Shadow or pulp art fan/collector, this is a wonderful addition to your library or den. After decades of collection ERB I'm selling 90% of my collection including first editions, reprints through the decades, original art work (including half a dozen Fritz Gurney paintings). If you're looking for something in particular just email me via eBay and I can set up a special buy-it-now auction for you. Otherwise just keep checking my weekly ads. Thanks, Richard
