Description: SPI's Sorcerer - The Game of Magical Conflict by very well-known designer in early fantasy and war gaming, Redmond Simonsen. He was the art director of SPI and many of his designs set the standards used today. (From Rulebook, page 16: "The colors on the map are "pastel" versions of the same darker colors shown on the counters. "The map colors of magic hexes were deliberately muted to prevent players from going dazzle-happy looking at the multicolored field and allows counters to be seen more easily. For anyone who may be color-blind, the large multi-colored hex in center of the Color Value Chart on the map"). Thank you, Mr. Simonsen! RIP. The game: In the fantasy world where magic actually works, there are 3 basic categories of units: Sorcerers (of various powers), human infantry, and magical units (trolls, demonic infantry, and air dragons) and 7 types of magic, each represented by an actual color.
