Description: A prominent sphalerite crystal stands out amongst quartz, calcite and dolomite crystals from Trepča Stari Trg Mine, Mitrovica, Kosovo. The sphalerite is jet black and contrasts perfectly with the quartz. There are some cool triangular patterns on a few of the faces and some twinning as well. Calcite and dolomite cover a portion of this piece and can be seen partially overlaying some of the quartz. The calcite fluoresces red. A neat combo specimen.
