Description: "Sparky's Wren" is a signed & numbered edition of 1000 prints of my original gouache watercolor painting. I was walking down the street of Sparta, a quaint mountain town in the Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina when I spotted an old door with peeling paint and an old, rusty skeleton key lock. I believed it would make beautiful backdrop for a painting I had in mind featuring my favorite bird, the wren. I’ve always loved the wren’s spunky attitude and penchant for building nests in things that belong to humans. I once had a wren build her nest in the nail pouch of my tool belt that was hanging in my barn. I had to wait to do any nailing until her babies had flown the nest. By the way the old door was located beside a coffee shop named, ”Sparky’s”, thus the name of the painting. Prints are printed on acid free paper. Prints are shipped flat in a acid free mailer.
