Description: Long Spanish Mauser machete bayonet, originally designed for use with the short rifles (prototype M1913 and the adopted M1916), but was subsequently used with the M1893 long rifles as well. Blade is bright with a dulled cutting edge (because bayonets were only to sharpened in time of war) with the finish on the hilt dulled by patina. Markings are slightly worn, but legible. Grips are good, showing lots of original checkering. Lug slot is clear of debris and detritus, and locking catch is strong and positive. Does not come with a scabbard.
