Description: Offered is vintage 1969 original egg tempera on masonite board painting by Spanish/Canadian artist Jesus Carlos de Vilallonga (1927-2018). He is best known for his richly textured paintings in highly coloured style. DeVilallonga exhibited widely in Europe, Canada, and the United States. He was awarded the National Order of Quebec in 2011. This impressionistic painting is exceptionally well executed with high level of artistic skills, it is signed by the artist in the lower right corner. The painting measuring about 36” x 24” (91 x 61 cm); New frame measures frame - 42” x 30" (107 x 76 cm). Provenance: Dominion Art Gallery, it has stock and exhibition date markings verso. This painting would be a very sound investment and a great addition to any collection.
