Description: PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A COMPLETE KIT! You get the 3D printed parts only. Be the hit of your rocket club by flying a SpaceX craft that hasn't flown yet! This is a set of 3D printed parts to build your own FLYING model of SpaceX's Starship with booster, formerly known as the BFR (Big Freakin' Rocket, or something like that). This is the 2017 design, which I think looks best. It's approximately 1/200th scale. The spacecraft itself is about 8" tall; the complete rocket when built according to plans is 20" tall. The Starship, when it flies, promises to be the next big thing in manned spaceflight, with possible landing missions to the Moon and Mars!If you're looking for the Dragon spacecraft launched May 30, 2020, you'll find it here:Dragon In addition to the 3D printed parts in this kit, you will need: Estes BT-60 tubing (Inner Diameter: 1.595" Outer Diameter: 1.637"), 7.5" long.Estes BT-50 tubing (Inner Diameter: 0.950", Outer Diameter: 0.976"), 4" long, for motor mount.2 centering rings, .98" ID X 1.5" OD X 1/16" thick.Motor hook or motor retention of your choice.4 fins, 3 1/4" X 2" X 1/16", clear plastic (for scale appearance) or plywood.18" parachute, shock cord, and shock cord mounting.Epoxy (Recommended). You'll have to make your own decals, if you want them. You can get all the parts you need, except the centering rings and clear fin plastic, from Apogee Rockets, my favorite rocket shop. You'll have to make the centering rings from scratch out of mat board, cardboard, or thin plywood. Clear plastic for fins can be had at your favorite home improvement center. Here's what you get: The spacecraft. The spacecraft booster top (Adapter) with the grid fins. The tail section with slots for through-the-wall fins.A 3/16" conformal launch lug with molded standoff. The Cable tunnel.Instructions and templates. All parts are as printed, unassembled and unpainted. They will need some cleanup and sanding for an attractive model. May have some small flaws from the printing process, such as bumps or small voids. Will have visible layer lines. Recommended for experienced modelers over 12. Handling time is based on printing to order and may be shorter. If you have built a few rockets in the past, especially if you've done some scratch-building, this kit will get you on your way. Included is a complete parts list, instructions, templates, blueprint, build photos, and a link to download simulator files and decals. This rocket will fly very well on Estes D12-3 or D12-5 motors. Can also be flown on 24mm Aerotech motors for more altitude. The last photo is of my flown prototype, after paint and decals. I assume ZERO responsibility for poor assembly or bad flights. Build well, fly wisely! Original design by Zastro, www.thingiverse.com/thing:2565361, heavily modified by me. Caution: Possible choking hazard (only the launch lug). Keep away from children under 3! Note: Don't leave this in a hot car! It may soften and distort. Check out my other items!
