Description: Set of Nine (9) Ribbon Bars for Soviet Orders and Medals. GURANTEED 100% ORIGINAL made in the Soviet Union and worn by a decorated WW2 soldier, a true combat veteran. This is NOT one of the made-up nonsense sets we’ve seen offered for sale in recent years. The set includes three rows consisting of three ribbons each, nine decorations in total. The set is from the late 1970s – mid 1980s, extremely well made, with copper backing and organic glass cover. It’s in GREAT condition, showing age but free of any flaws. It includes fully functional pin back attachment. Such “deluxe style” ribbon sets were very durable, looked good, and therefore were very popular among Soviet WW2 veterans. Not many of them however could afford a set like this or find a place where it would be made, so sets of this type are pretty scarce. The first three decorations are an Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd cl.; Order of Glory 3rd cl., and Medal in Commemoration of the 20th Anniversary of Victory over Germany. The Order of Glory is very telling: it means that the recipient was an NCO or enlisted man, and that he earned many of his awards in combat – Orders of Glory were never issued for just length of military service or simply good conduct! The second and third rows include five more jubilee medals and a Medal for Victory over Germany. Chronologically the last of them is Medal for 60th Anniversary of the Soviet Armed Forces, which puts the set in 1968-1984 timeframe. This excellent historic group can add nicely to any Soviet medal collection.FREE SHIPPING (USPS 1st cl. Mail) WITHIN USA ONLY! We WILL NOT ship our eBay items outside USA.
