Southwestern Sterling Brooch/Pendant/Necklace-Mary Watson Signed- Pearl Cabochon

Mary Watson and her husband Spencer own and run their own business called Silver Stone Handcrafted (silverstonehandcrafted.com). As is stated on their website, "Mary has a degree in Industrial Design from the University of Cincinnati and worked in the corporate arena for many years including working for Spence at his previous contract furniture installation business. Spence has an engineering background as well as a strong entrepreneurial spirit, having founded and run two thriving businesses prior to partnership with Mary. Together, they decided to leave the traditional workplace to indulge their artistic passions and share their creations as SILVER STONE HANDCRAFTED..." This unique piece is designed so it can be used as a pendant on a necklace (as it is here), or as an eye-catching pin or brooch. The silver work done on the setting for the cabochon stone/shell clearly shows the expertise of the silversmith who created the piece, with a rustic, handmade design coupled with fittings so tight and perfect that it makes you look twice to prove they weren't done by machine as part of an automated process. Most stone fittings that are done by hand are less perfect and show some gaps and variations in sizing and spacing. That isn't the case here. As you can see, the large oval freshwater pearl cabochon is beautiful and shows expert workmanship throughout. The pendant is being sold on a 19" sterling silver box chain necklace. The chain is marked "925" and "Italy". I do not know the name of the company that made it. Additionally, this piece contains one of the largest freshwater pearl cabochons that I can find. As a result, I'm pricing this piece competitively, but with the understnding that it is an exceptional piece which commands a premium price.
