The Crown label out of Los Angeles, Ca. was one of the pioneering discount record manufacturers of the 50's and 60's. All of their releases were super low budget and poor quality pressings, most of which totally suck. This release was an exception. Recorded by uncredited musicians and released under the group name The Blasters, the contents of this recording are musically quite good. almost all the tracks are decent, nothing amazing mind you but enjoyable none the less. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that some well known (or would become) artists played on this. The guitar work in particular really stands out. definitely worth grabbing this if you can find one that isn't beat to hell for relatively cheap.
