Description: Sony SLV-D271P DVD VCR combo: PLEASE READ: There is a "short" with this unit--sometimes when you plug it in and power it on it only reads "AUTO" on the unit but does nothing. If you unplug it and tilt the unit on its side it will *sometimes* power on (but not always). When it actually powers on the VCR side works fine as it should. But the DVD player won't open. On the TV it reads "Insert Disc." When I remove the cover and manually insert a DVD it plays just fine. Top of the unit is scuffed up.
