Description: Sony CFD-G700CP Portable Boom Box, Excellent above average cosmetic condition, a few light scrapes and scratches but nothing major or broken. Selling for parts not working due to not staying powered up. When the power button is pressed it powers on for a brief second then goes off. I bought this radio New and didn’t use it much so it’s not worn out or heavily used. Kept it in my toolbox at work for occasional use and decided to bring it home to use in my garage. I did some testing with another known good duplicate radio and discovered that the main board is defective. Once the board was swapped the radio worked perfectly fine played CD’s cassette and IPod with the aux input cord attached. Awesome sounding radio with adjustable bass boost clean clear crisp highs!! probably one of the best portable radios on the market!!! The repair is A very simple plug and play swap with No Soldering necessary it’s all ribbon and harness plugs. Top of radio slides back once screws are removed, the board is attached to the bottom side of the top cover remove 3 mounting screws unplug the ribbons and harness plugs swap the boards reverse assembly and your good to go! takes less than half hour to swap. Comes with power cord but no remote. I provided pictures of the board with part numbers so you can source one or if you have one of these radios that’s worn out but powers up you can swap your board to this unit. It’s clean condition probably an 8 out of 10. No one else on EBay is selling this radio already troubleshot for your convenience! Sold as parts not working and absolutely No Returns on this item!
