Description: Signed and Numbered 81/1000 SELMER '37 Balanced Action Alto Sax FineArt Print. Artist: John Miranda. This is an artistic depiction of my grandfather's (Dick Dickerson - pic #3) '37 Balanced Action alto (pic #4), that he purchased in Italy during WWll while in the Army Band. Drafted into the Army at 36, he had to give up his big band of the 30's, "Dick Dickerson and his High Flyers" and leave it with a trusted member. In 1967, he suffered his first heart attack and, consequently, gave me this beautiful alto, instructing me to keep pursuing my art career and play the sax for fun. Well, I listened to him and graduated from USC (South Carolina) with a degree in Art Studio. Fortunately or unfortunately (depends on your ear), I had too much "fun" playing sax to keep it as a hobby. Today, I use the horn in Second Nature, an 8 piece dance band and think of him. This print is dedicated to him and his dedication to music and this country. It is also for the saxophonists that put in the time and effort needed for a great performance. The image measures 12" x 18" with a white border. No, the '37 Selmer BA alto is not for sale. It's priceless. All Offers Seriously Considered for this Fine Art Print. SHIPS ONLY TO THE LOWER 48 STATES OF THE UNITED STATES. PAYMENT MANAGED ONLY BY EBAY.BUYER HAS 5 DAYS TO PURCHASE. THANKS!
